The North Sea
The discovery of North Sea oil in 1969 marked the beginning of its journey to becoming a world recognized energy hub.
More than 50 years' later, so much has been achieved towards becoming that hub. But so much has also changed. While our industries have developed, one thing has stayed the same. The commitment and resilience of the people working in the North Sea.
More than ever, we're focused on finding sustainable solutions and working in partnership with our customers to make sure decarbonization targets are met and the net zero ambition becomes a reality.
I hope that 10 years from now, we’ll be closer to our net-zero targets with a suitably trained and qualified workforce. Seeing the results of the apprenticeships and hard work we’re doing now to upskill and create a diverse, sustainable North Sea workforce.
