Headshot of Cecilia Jona of Worley.

When Cecilia Jona joined our team in Santiago as an Executive Assistant just over eight months ago, she brought not only a strong background in administration but also a unique perspective on accessibility and inclusion. Though just beginning, her journey has been one of purpose, growth and connection – personally and professionally.

Alongside supporting internal and external customers, colleagues and suppliers, she manages a range of daily responsibilities that keep operations running smoothly. Whether it’s coordinating meetings, arranging travel or streamlining communications, Cecilia enables collaboration across the business. “I know that my role helps people connect, stay organized and deliver results,” she says. “That makes me feel proud to be part of something meaningful.”

Setting the standard for belonging

Our team stands out to Cecilia in how she’s felt seen and valued for who she is. As a person living with a disability, she’s found a place where inclusion is lived, not just talked about. A standout moment for her was being invited to join the diversity and inclusion team in Chile. There, she was encouraged to share her lived experience with colleagues across the organization. “That moment made me feel like I truly belonged,” she reflects. “It reminded me that this is exactly where I’m meant to be.”

Since joining, her role has naturally evolved. Initially focused on administrative tasks, Cecilia has since taken on broader responsibilities including active involvement in diversity and inclusion efforts. This has strengthened her skills and given her a deeper understanding of her potential. “Worley has given me the space to grow, to contribute beyond my core duties and to feel confident about where I’m headed,” she says.

Finding balance outside of the office

That support extends beyond the office walls. Cecilia highlights the importance of work-life balance, noting how we foster a respectful culture that encourages setting healthy boundaries. “Worley has been incredibly supportive,” she shares. “They understand that people have lives outside of work and they make it possible to thrive in both.”

Above all, she’s been most inspired by the people and culture around her. “I wish more people knew how genuinely inclusive Worley is,” she says. “It’s not just about having policies in place – it’s about real people making a real effort to support one another.”

Endless potential for growth

Looking ahead, Cecilia is excited about the future – and not just for herself. She sees great potential in our commitment to inclusive innovation and sustainability. “There’s a sense of energy here, of momentum,” she says. “And I’m proud to be part of it.”

In her own words, being part of our team makes her feel “empowered, respected and connected”. An environment she hopes more people can experience.
