Pembina selects Worley to deliver Heartland Extraction Plant in Alberta

Worley has been awarded a contract by Pembina Pipeline Corporation (Pembina) to provide engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction (EPC) services for the Heartland Extraction Plant (HEP) in Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada.

The Heartland Extraction Plant is a greenfield straddle facility designed to process up to 750 million cubic feet per day of natural gas. The facility will extract natural gas liquids (NGL) from the Yellowhead Pipeline and is scheduled to begin operations in late 2029.

The project will be delivered by an integrated EPC team from Worley’s Alberta locations.

“This award is further evidence of Worley’s expertise in delivering integrated gas projects and continues our long-standing relationship with Pembina, reflecting their ongoing confidence in Worley as a full project delivery partner,” said Chris Ashton, Chief Executive Officer.
