Important information for former Worley employees in the United States

Worley has received notification from its health benefits provider, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, regarding a data breach involving their third-party vendor, Conduent.

This incident affected select historical data for some current and former Worley employees in the United States, and their dependents. Data from multiple companies was impacted, and current employees have been notified directly. Worley employees employed outside the United States are not impacted.

The breach may have affected Worley employees who were enrolled in a health benefits plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield through Worley between October 21, 2024, and January 13, 2025. Conduent is in the process of notifying all impacted Worley people and their dependents.

If you were employed by Worley during this period and were enrolled in a health plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield at that time, some of your personal information may have been obtained. This may include name, date of birth, postal address information, Social Security number, medical service information, group number, and subscriber number. We are notifying our former employees to alert them to the risk of potential fraud arising from this third-party breach.

Worley has been informed that the breach is contained. As part of their commitment to support those affected, Conduent is offering a complimentary 12-month internet monitoring service to affected individuals. You will receive a letter from Conduent with instructions on how to enroll. In the meantime, please contact Conduent by calling (866) 559-4749 with any questions.

We also encourage you to take the following steps to enhance your data security and mitigate the risk of potential harm:

  1. Change passwords: Consider updating your passwords for related online accounts, especially those linked to compromised information. Use strong, unique passwords.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of security to your accounts by enabling 2FA particularly around accounts that use a social security number (SSN).
  3. Monitor account activity: Regularly check your bank and credit card statements for any suspicious activity. Report any unauthorized transactions immediately.
  4. Review your credit report: Request a copy of your credit report from credit agencies to check for any unusual activities.
  5. Notify your bank: Inform your bank about the breach. They might issue new cards and take additional security measures.
  6. Place fraud alerts: Consider placing a fraud alert on your credit files with credit reporting agencies. This makes it harder for identity thieves to open accounts in your name.
  7. Stay informed: Keep up with updates from the Worley website regarding the incident.
